Omaha Cricket Club/Omaha Youth Cricket Association visited the Yates Community Center on April 20 and conducted a cricket clinic for about 30 children and over 10 adults at the "Yates Gifford Park Celebration." Players were grouped into teams for two games during which everyone got an opportunity to bowl and bat. A cricket set donated by USYCA was given to the community center at the conclusion of the cricket clinic.
Afterwards, this email was received from Veronica Hill, ESL/Migrant Teacher Trainer - Omaha Public Schools (OPS)
"Dear Vijay and the Omaha Cricket Association,
Thanks so much to you and the rest of the group that provided cricket at our Yates refugee event on April 20th. As you could tell, the students were absolutely thrilled to play and also to receive the donated cricket set. I have attached a picture of the event. Please extend my thanks to the group and to the OCA. We greatly appreciate your time and generosity!"
Congratulations to Bhaskar Krishna and the Omaha YCA for their great work!
