Making A Difference In Dallas

December 1, 2010

USYCA has received the following email and photos:

Jamie,

Thanks again for all of your help. The kids loved playing Cricket and keep asking when they will get to play again. The North Texas Cricket Association loaned us some equipment for International Education Week to which I am forever grateful. I have attached a few pictures of our games for you to view.

The week before I presented Cricket to our school, I went and looked for students who actually knew how to play. I knew we had two Indian students and found out they loved the game and one of them is named after Cricket player Sachin Tendulkar.

We had to use cones instead of official stumps but the students did not seem to mind. They just enjoyed playing. Thanks again and hopefully this is the springboard into something bigger.

All The Best,

Lee J. Guidry Jr., MA

USYCA continues to work with Mr. Guidry so that the school can have a cricket set of its own, and the children can play in PE class. Stay tuned.
