On October 28, ICC-Americas Regional Development Officer Wendell Coppin and USYCA President Jamie Harrison will visit Whitehall Elementary School in Bowie, Maryland during the introduction
of their cricket unit. A number of students at the school have already indicated
that they will be signing up for the local cricket program scheduled to
start next summer.
Coppin will be in Maryland to conduct the Level I coaching course at the Greenbelt Sportsplex October 28-30.
As an ICC RDO, Coppin is the region's Education Coordinator, and as such has taken a keen interest in the award-winning USYCA Schools Program, which has donated 700 cricket sets to schools across America in the past year.
