Valmai Gee, one of the wicketkeepers for the Irish national women's
team and Level I Coach, was a guest coach at the Washington Cricket
League's new youth program on Monday evening. The visit to the camp at
Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, Virginia was arranged by USYCA, and was a
tremendous success. Below are photos from the session.
Valmai gives a bowling lesson to a young cricketer.
The youths were instructed in proper catching technique.
Developing the correct throwing technique was taught from "the ground up."
The aspiring cricketers are taught how to throw at the stumps.
The WCL camp also works with older players.
Valmai is presented with a USYCA hat and polo by President Jamie Harrison at the end of the session.
