From Indiana Youth Cricket:
By Reggie Hens:
Indiana Youth Cricket is ready to launch its first cricket academy later this summer. With priority access to two batting cages, youth cricketers will benefit through training in a game-type competitive environment.
Jatin Patel of USYCA and Indiana Youth Cricket said, "Cricket batting cages will allow us to train for bowling and batting in proper manner - as both are real and primary needs of the game of cricket. Fielding can be done elsewhere but batting and bowling needs proper ground or batting cages with proper surface. It also saves time and improves the efficiency of the player's performances.
"With the access to cricket batting cages, we are now ready to launch a full scale cricket academy here in Indiana. We are in process of acquiring two more batting cages, which will allow us to train even more players," Patel said. "This summer and fall our primary goal is to train more teachers and new coaches so that we can teach more young students in school during the next year. We have our first coaching camp in Columbus, Indiana during the second weekend in July and are expecting a full camp.
"Indiana Youth Cricket appreciates the support and donation received from TheCricketSpot and Cricket Merchant. We are moving forward to help cricket here in Indiana."
