May 24, 2012

On May 18, Riverside Jr. High (Hamilton Southeastern Schools, Indiana) held their annual Health, Fitness & Nutrition Fair.
Indiana Youth Cricket provided youth cricket equipment and professional cricket gear for the display with video demonstrations such as "What is cricket?" and "How to play cricket."
The fair is an opportunity for the students to learn about various sports activities, so that they can maintain a healthy lifestyle. All students have to visit all booths during this fair to learn about various activities available for the students during and after school.
Riverside started its cricket program in March 2012 and continues to use cricket equipment during its PE classes. The students are already learning to play the game, but the fair event helps them to know more about how cricket can help them to become a healthier, fitter resource for our community!
Jatin Patel of Indiana Cricket and USYCA was present during the fair to help students and teachers, and to explain about cricket and it's history. |
