USYCA has received a generous gift of $500 from youth cricket supporter Michael Gale of the Central Texas Cricket League.
Gale sponsors a tournament designed to encourage greater
opportunities for younger and youth players in Texas between Austin,
Houston and Dallas - the Inter-City Cup. He played cricket in Hampshire
at the youth level and is a partner at a leading digital communications
company, Pulsepointgroup. Gale, a member of the Hill Country Cricket
Association, is married and lives in Austin, Texas.
"To get cricket played more we need to encourage out kids to try it
out," Gale said. "Programs like this are critical to developing an easy
way to try the greatest game in the world."
"USYCA is grateful to Michael Gale for his generous contribution,"
President Jamie Harrison said. "Michael has a track record of supporting
youth cricket, and we look forward to partnering with him to spread our
great game among American children."
