On Sunday, May 1, President Jamie Harrison represented USYCA at the Philadelphia International Cricket Festival. The festival named USYCA as the event's primary beneficiary, and much of the profit derived from this great weekend of cricket will find its way to our organization. In addition, Sunil Joshi autographed leg pads and gloves donated by the London Casuals Cricket Club, which are now available to be bid upon on Ebay.
Harrison was asked to speak at the festival brunch, and his message regarding the need to support USYCA at this critical moment was well received. He also met and renewed acquaintances with dozens of cricket aficionados, including USYCA's own Simon Percival and Dan Ruparel. USYCA Treasurer Mike Thomas plays a key role in organizing and delivering the festival each year, and he even umpires festival matches.
The weather was wonderful, and a splendid time was had by all.
