USYCA is pleased to welcome to its ranks the New Haven Eagles Cricket Club, which plays in the Southern Connecticut Cricket Association (SCTCA).
The NHECC was founded in 2005 to enable its members to play, promote,
and watch the venerable game of cricket - a worldwide sport that is
enjoyed by millions of people in dozens of cultures. The club has
currently over 25 players and believes in encouraging new and younger
talent to take up challenging roles on the team. NHECC believes that for
a team and the league to sustain themselves, it is the younger players
who must create the foundation.
Why does NHECC support USYCA?
"The US needs young talent and exposure to compete in world cricket,"
Sharat Kalluri said. "Youth cricket programs provide opportunities to
foster talent and allow them to play in competitive cricket."
"The addition of the New Haven Eagles is very exciting for USYCA,"
President Jamie Harrison said. "We can't wait to start working with them
to develop youth cricket in southern Connecticut."
